SHAKESPEARE MEETS STAND-UP

To Whom Should I Complain chronicles the journey of Isabella from Shakespeare’s Measure for Measure, as she stumbles upon a comedy club and ends up working through the traumatic and confounding events that just occurred in front of an open mic. The lines between Isabella and the performer get blurred as both are forced to wrestle with their shifting religious identity. This play is a fun, earnest, heart-wrenching exploration of hypocrisy, moral identity, and religious indoctrination, written for “every woman who has ever felt formed by a system that was created to judge them and demean their worth.”
